Higher timber quality and energy savings with new timber drying controller

Alent Drying AB developes and sells control systems for timber drying. The new and patented
interval drying technology developed by Alent and improved together with Luleå
University of Technology and five Sawmills in northern Sweden has raised the
performance in timber drying to a new higher level.  The control system can easily be installed in
existing drying kilns.  In kilns with new controllers it might be done by upgrading to Alent software.

50% reduced electricity cost and higher production yield

More than 3000 batches are now dried in 56 drying kilns with Alents new drying method and
the results are extremely good. The fans are stopped half the drying time with
enhanced drying speed and timber quality.
